Happy Transition, Estwald :)

On February 4, 2009, L. Ray Sunderlin (known as Estwald on DriveMeInsane.com) died in the hospital from unknown complications after major surgery. This is the last pic we have of him from his live webcam before he left for the hospital.

Ray was one of those hard-to-find people, the kind you run across if you're really lucky. He was very aware and grounded. Knowing him as I do, I know he didn't consider death a big deal. To him, it was nothing more than a transition from one state of being to another. This pic from his cam will give you an idea of the kind of guy he is:

I miss him, and I wish he were still here with us in the flesh, but I guess his job here was done, and he had stuff to do elsewhere. And he's probably still dangerous :)
